Quick Introductory Interview.

Interview with Suffer Yourself.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

Suffer Yourself is a project of Stanislav Govorukha (Auto da Fe (Kremenchug, Ukraine), Coram Deo (Kremenchug, Ukraine), Illuminandi (Dębica, Poland)). The project is located in Europe (present day - Kiev, Ukraine). Found in 2011.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

Once I found that doom metal is the great stronghold and reason for personal soul exploring. And since that time I became addicted to doom. I found that darkest music genres, such as funeral doom can open undiscovered spaces of reality which are far more wider than world we know. I can describe SY's style as Funeral\doom\death metal.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

I think that high point is unreachable for passionate musician. After you have done something you become able to look at your previous efforts critically. You never know what will influence or inspire you next day. Commonly I'm composing music for self-explorance.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Evoken, dISEMBOWELMENT, Mistress of the Dead

5. What are your plans for the near future?

To keep going. All the time. I suppose Suffer Yourself will sound darker from album to album.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

Explore darkness. It is beautiful.
