Canada - Active.

Description

Funeral Doom

Despite the strange name a serious project by Matt Zuchowski (Funerary Dirge, Absolute Misery, Besargian, Dusk Ov Shadows) and A. Tolonen (Nest, session Shape of Despair). DoomSquirrel sees the fusion of Funeral Doom with Drone and Darkwave. Overall the sound is quite minimalistic and almost all traces of Metal are lost. Due to the lack of Metal it makes this a questionable entry. The project is most certainly Doom, but for metal fans might lack the metal factor of Doom-METAL. Musically very oppressive and atmospheric sounding and slowed down to the extreme. Haunting grunts in the distance complete the musical picture and make sure DoomSquirrel is something fans of bands like Until Death Overtakes Me need to experience.
