Burning Witch

USA - Disbanded.

Description

Drone/Doom

Burning Witch rose from the ashes of Thorr's Hammer in late 1995 to create extremely heavy and slow Doom with seriously fucked up vocals. Ice-cold and psychotic music. The band gained cult status only after they broke up, with little interest shown by either the audience or labels when the band was still around. The band is perhaps best known as one of the many initiated by Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson (both of whom also started bands like Sunn O))) and Thorr's Hammer. Stephen now also plays in Khanate).

Misc

Only after breaking up did the band gain a cult status and as such most albums got released much later than initially recorded.
