Credo

Germany - Active.

Description

Traditional Doom

Starting out under the name Pik, this band released at least one Doom-metal album, 'The Heritage of Past Gods'. A mixture between more traditional Doom-metal and Death-Doom with atmospheric elements. On their following albums they seem to have been moving away from playing Doom. The band changed their name in 2003 to Credo due to the fact that Pik can have very different meanings in other languages (for example, it means dick in Dutch).

Misc

The members are originally from Poland, but lives now in Germany. The band's former name was Pik, but changed it as mentioned on their webpage: "Unfortunately the name PIK has in some lands an unsuitable meaning for our music and therefore agrees not with our band philosophy. In course of time this was a real problem and handicap concerning promotion ect." (in danish and dutch (and probebly other languages too) ‘Pik’ means...’Dick’!)
’Crossroad of the Fate' is the first release under the name Credo.
