Very complicated, orchestral doom with many different instruments, for example, a lute. The music is slow, melodic and the tracks are *very* long but never boring. Most of the lyrics are in Latin with some parts in English and German! Their second album sees them moving more towards the direction of Therion and Haggard and as such moving away from playing Doom-metal. Both albums are lush, yet intimate compositions of pure melancholy. The best description I have seen to date is "Orchestral folk Doom".

|At least one member also plays in the black-metal band Astaroth - On the second album Estatic Fear became the a one-man band project of Mathias Kogler (a.k.a. Calix Miseriae). All the other instuments are preformed by guest musicians.|
A sample of a full song was not possible due to the length of the songs (18+ minutes to 30+ minutes).
