The Wounded

The Netherlands - Active.

Description

Death/Doom

The Wounded started out as a Death/Doom-metal band in the vein of early to mid period Anathema (think 'Pentecost III'), but with a more dramic mix between grunts and weeping clean vocals. Overall very dramically built up music which, whilst still doom, had a lot of the melancholy normally associated with Goth bands (Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, etc.). Their second album saw them moving away from Death/Doom towards a more Goth Rock/Metal style, losing the grunts and most of their Metal edge, further developing their Goth side.
