Death/Doom, Atmospheric Doom Originally started out as a slow mournful Funeral Doom with great emphasis on the majestic keyboard sound: slightly trance-like music reminiscent of the epic orchestration of Shape of Despair and Morgion. Soft whispered grunts completed the musical picture perfectly. From the second EP onward, their style morphed into a more chaotic form of Death Doom where the Funeral elements were much more set back. This continued to evolve through 'The Great Clockmaker' cycle of albums, and from the following 'Epsilon Aurigae' onwards, the band moved into more Dark Metal-Death/Doom territories. |
