Peaceville Records (Label)

UK - Active.

Description

Undefinable

Founded in 1987 by Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw in Dewsbury, Peaceville Records started out as an Indie/Punk label but went on to deal with underground Metal, and in doing so effectively launched the most important founders of the Death/Doom movement with the so-called "Peaceville Three": Anathema, My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost.

Hammy left the label in 2006, following its sale to Snapper Records.
