The Land Of The Snow

Switzerland - Active.

Description

Avantgarde Doom

Zurich-based solo project of composer and instrumentalist Joel Gilardini, The Land Of The Snow is an experimental mix of Post-Metal, Sludge, Drone and Electronic/Ambient influences alongside some more free-form structures. The exact blend and style varies from album to album, making it difficult to classify or compare accurately, though the atmosphere generally remains sombre and doomy throughout, and Hemelbestormer, or similar, would often be a valid namecheck.
