Vuolla

Finland - Active.

Description

Atmospheric Doom

Melding plenty of influences, Vuolla touch on melodic Death and Gothic Doom, Dark Metal, and hints of Prog Rock. The five-piece, from Jyvaskyla, could be at times variously likened to Anathema, Katatonia or Opeth, but their overall focus is on generating and sustaining keyboard/guitar-driven melancholic moods that swing between the tranquil and the heavy - the former led by clean female vocals, the latter by harsh male.
