Progressive Doom Brighton-based 5-piece King Goat call themselves Prog Doom Metal and, indeed, a lot of their variable tempos and time signatures do owe a debt to Progressive Metal influences. Vocals range from clean Epic style to a Sludge/Post-Metal bellow, with some odd effects thrown in for good measure. Though the instrumental sound is often founded in classic Sabbath/Candlemass vein, the wilful compositions probably speak more to Reverend Bizarreand Opium Warlords. |
