Crypt Sermon

Description

Traditional Doom, Epic Doom

Hailing from Philadelphia, Crypt Sermon have a classically unselfconscious Doom sound that combines the epic and the traditional. The most obvious comparison is due to vocalist Brooks Wilson, who can sound uncannily like Rob Lowe - hence inviting thoughts of Solitude Aeturnus and latterday Candlemass, but this is also combined with hints of Trouble and The Skull. Although those are all valid namechecks, Crypt Sermon have a strong enough identity of their own that they certainly should not be considered any sort of clone band.
