Katergon

Switzerland - Disbanded.

Description

Avantgarde Doom, Atmospheric Doom

With a brief career spanning 4 years, Katergon disbanded in March 2014. Prior to that, the Swiss four-piece released an EP and a full-length album, both with nautical themes and combining a variety of influences under an Experimental/Atmospheric Doom umbrella. Elements of Post-Rock, Post-Metal, Sludge and Death/Doom pervade their complex musical tapestries, with a result that can veer between or combine The 3rd And The Mortal, Ahab and Ortega in a quite distinctive sound of the band's own.
