| Death/Doom Lying Figures, from Lorraine, France, were formed in 2008 by guitarists Mehdi and Matthieu. The band also includes experienced members of other bands: singer Thibault (Octavion, Dungortheb), drummer Charles (Ataraxis) and bass player Fred (ex-Inborn Suffering, Drowning, Marthyr). They play heavy and oppressive, but melodic, Death/Doom which includes inspiration from music, cinema or literature, and has a strong feel of early Katatonia. Their 2013 demo includes a Doom cover of Akira Yamaoka's 'Promise'. |
