Anthropomancy

United Kingdom - Disbanded.

Description

Death/Doom

Anthropomancy are another obscure early Death/Doom act apparently influenced by the very first releases of the Peaceville bands. Their music features both melodic Doom parts and more Death Metal-oriented sections. Apart from the usual growls, there are also some clean vocals, a fairly uncommon feature in Death/Doom at the time. The band broke up after their first demo, but this recording shows enough promise to make you wonder what they might have come up with if they had lasted a little longer.
