Sludge/Doom, Post-Metal/Post-Core
The band plays a rather expected blend of Stoner Doom and atmospheric Sludge. Croaked Postcore-ish grunts, heavily trudging rhythm section enhanced by mournful soaring leads. The songwriting's twists and turns (or absence thereof) don't escape the usual dynamics of that hybrid - but popular- genre: all is thought out to build up an engulfing effect by dint of various rhythmic tools: distortion, echo, reverberation, slow-downs and climax. Well done if not original. |
