Mekigah

Australia - Active.

Description

Undefinable

Originally a two-piece project Mekigah belonged to the Prog. Metal scene. Its first album develops a complex tapestery of moods and emotions, using a vast array of vocal tones, rich and unexpected twists and turns that make it sound as a conceptual kaleidoscope. On their sophomore release, the band softened its gothic tendencies and starts exploring the possibilities of Doom Metal: a trend to be continued for the third album, now as Vis Ortis' solo project.
Mekigah's art is hard to label, borrowing from Doom, Black, Darkwave and Ambient, it should appeal to fans of dark evocative and challenging music.
