Lacrimas Profundere

Germany - Active.

Description

Gothic/Doom, Death/Doom

Sad, melancholic music that utilizes violin, keyboards, flute, harp, female singing, grunts, screams and more! Lacrimas Profundere started out on the same route as early-My Dying Bride, perpetuating an atmospheric style of death/doom metal. Later on, they stopped using the symphonic elements and began to incorporate a more mellow, gothic-inspired sound, similar to Katatonia and The Foreshadowing. After their 2006 release, "Filthy Notes For Frozen Hearts", the band's original vocalist, Christopher Schmid, stepped down and was replaced by Rob Vitacca.
