Murnau

USA - Active.

Description

Genre not specified

This dark two piece called Murnau is perhaps the first band to blend a nearly pure mixture of doom and progressive metal. The music is mournful with an exceptionally hollow-sounding bass. Despite having some likenesses with Saint Vitus and Abdullah, the music usually keeps far away from any Black Sabbath elements. Take Ayreon's darker and slower moments, and mix them with Electric Wizard; the result might come close to the sound of Murnau. For those who like it heavy, loud and laid back.
