Name: Country: Status: Description: |
DolorianFinland Active A fantastic band with fresh new ideas. On their first album, they mix slow, dark, heavy doom-metal with psychotic "blackish" screams and keyboards. On the second album, the black screams have been replaced by haunting whispers, creating a very bleak and empty atmosphere. Their third release, their split with Shining, is a more intensely industrial noise influenced piece of music, which still keeps the doom/black aspects that Dolorian has always had. |

| Misc. info: | Members from Dolorian also play in I.Corax, Depther, Aeoga and Halo Manash. All these bands fit into the dark ambient and industrial genres. A. Haapapuro and A. Kukkohovi used to play in a melodic BM outfit called Black Swan. J. Ontero plays in a power metal band called Ghost Machinery. The 'Dolorian/Shining Split' was recorded in 2002, but label problems left it waiting for nearly two years before it was finally released. Dolorian refused to release the lyrics for the track 'A Part Of Darkness' on 'When All The Laughter Has Gone', and several parts of the lyrics on almost all the other tracks on all releases. This is because Dolorian find those fragments of the lyrics too personal to release. | ||||||||
